The supervisor will inform the field and service technician of which jobs they’re going to be responsible for that day. The worker will then put on their working gear, grab their tools, and head out on the road to get to the first job site.
At the job site, the field and service technician will interact with the client to gauge the situation. They’ll then use their expertise to identify the problem and repair it.
Once that’s complete, the field and service technician may go back to the office for a quick check-in or directly to the next job site. They’ll repeat this until their day is over, which generally occurs around 5:00 PM.
At the end of the day, a field service technician will typically complete and file any paperwork they generated throughout their day. Then they’ll change out of their work clothes and go home for the night.
